	Cub Scout Lock-In (March 6, 2006) Cub Scouts from Thundercloud District under the MidAmerica Council of Boy Scouts of America enjoyed their annual District Cub Scout Lock-In held at the Cherokee Regional Wellness Center in January. Close 100 scouts participated in the event.
	2006 Cherokee Jazz & Blues Festival (January 16, 2006) The city of Cherokee celebrates their annual Jazz & Blues Festival each in January. The 2006 festival was a huge success as always.
	100 Days of School (December 6, 2005) Area schools celebrated their 100th day school. Teachers in area classrooms found as many ways to celebrate the day as there were days completed.
