March of Dimes rummage sale -
While many folks hold rummage sales to make a few bucks or simply to thin out those dust collectors cluttering up the house, a few...like Jamie Chase, use the mega sale events as an opportunity to do a good deed. On May 2, Jamie hosted her second annual March of Dimes Fund-Raising Rummage Sale, an event that featured a wide variety of items ranging from toys and clothing to tools and baked goods. The proceeds of the sale will be sent off to the March of Dimes where it will be put to good use fighting juvenile diseases. It should be noted that Jamie's sale last year raised $1250 for the March of Dimes, definitely a good deed by anyone's standards. In this photo, Jamie and her volunteer mom Nancy Chase are seen displaying a few of the baked items offered at the sale. (These were prepared and donated to the event by Jamie's sister Jan Chase.)
