Fun at the Bacon Aquatic Center

The Bacon Aquatic Center in Cherokee opened in 2008 and provides lots of fun water-related activities on a hot summer day.

Perfect form - Adults and kids alike line up to use the diving board at the pool. Summer hours are 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Bacon Aquatic Center.

Sweet treats - Skyler Robinson, 4, enjoys a fudge bar from the concession stand on his way out of the swimming pool. The concession stand provides a variety of ice cream, candy, food and drink during pool hours.

Slip n' slide - Youngsters enjoy the slide and sprinklers at the pool ,while mothers watch their little ones off to the side on the patio. The pool provides a number of umbrellas to provide swimmers with protection from the hot sun, but they can still enjoy the cool water.

Shower time - Kids can stand in the water and take a shower or on top of water spraying from the sides of the pool to cool off. Bacon Aquatic Center is the place to be for water fun this summer.
