Cherokee Street Dance
On Saturday June 27, the Cherokee Chamber of Commerce and the Iowa Rock and Roll Music Association staged a "Takin' It to the Streets" dance on East Main Street. Who's Drivin' was the first of three bands to play, followed by Natural Color and The Charades. The latter two bands have been selected for induction into the Iowa Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year. The Charades were formed in Marcus in the 1960s.
