Eat up! -
Cherokee Roosevelt Elementary School's "Meet The Teacher" night was a big success last week, highlighted by students meeting their teachers, being intoduced to their classrooms and, along with their parents, being treated to a free-will offering cook-out hosted by the PTA. Contributors to the cook-out included the Cherokee County Pork Producers (grilling/porkburgers), Tyson Deli (hot dogs), Chesterman's Inc. (bottled water), Fareway (condiments), and the Adam Timmerman family (bottled water). Members of the Cherokee girls basketball team served the meals.
Teachers handed out some materials as they met their new students and their parents.
