Saturday Oct. 31 brought a number of Halloween activities for the kids in Cherokee, including the Trunk or Treat event at Bethlehem Lutheran Church and a costume parade through downtown Cherokee.

Kids gathered around Heidi Church, Youth and Family Ministries Director at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Saturday evening during the devotional at the first annual Trunk or Treat. The Trunk or Treat handed out candy to approximately 200 kids between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Halloween.

Elmo, also known as 9 month old Aidyn Halverson, visited the Trunk or Treat at Bethlehem Lutheran Church on Halloween. He was accompanied by his two spidermen brothers and his parents.

The Cherokee Chamber trick or treat parade drew more than 250 children out in costume to walk from business to business to collect candy on Saturday afternoon.

Sheena Smith,an employee at Corvo's Restaurant,showed her Halloween spirit and dressed up to hand out candy to the kids during the Cherokee Chamber trick or treat costume parade.

Kaylee Cresap, 1, was pushed in her stroller through the trick or treat parade on Halloween. Cresap was dressed as a pink dinosaur for the event and could find many fellow dinosaurs wandering the parade as well.

Roman Thill, 1, dressed as a pirate, also played the part during the Cherokee Chamber trick or treat parade downtown on Saturday afternoon.
