Each spring, the Cherokee Chamber of Commerce sponsors "Hot Dog Days," when local businesses grill frankfurters outside their businesses and provide the sandwiches and chips to customers. This year, the event was held on Thursday May 13th.
Hot Dog Days hit Cherokee -
Josh Lauck, left and Sydney Lauck were just two to the anxious people getting a free hot dog during the annual Cherokee Hot Dog Days sponsored by the Cherokee Chamber of Commerce and held on May 13.
First time grillers -
Hot Dogs and Soda Pop were on the menu for the folks that stopped by The Groom Room during the 2010 Hot Dog Days. This was also the first time that The Groom Room participated in the popular event
Get them while they're hot -

Busy downtown -
Downtown Cherokee was a popular place on May 13th, as area residents lined up on Main St.to visit local business that were grilling hot dogs, as part of "Hot Dog Days."
Hungry hot dog eaters -
Patrick Loughlin and Rich Hinkhouse were busy supplying hot dogs to hungry area residents who were passing by Letsche's Bike Shop on Main St.
Large spread -
Valley Bank & Trust was one of the more popular spots for getting a hot dog during Hot Dog Days this year. Every year the bank puts out a large spread of toppings and side dishes for the popular Cherokee event.
Parade time -
Bringing the popular Cherokee Hot Dog Days to a close is the annual Cherokee Youth Ball Association Parade. Pictured are members of the Garst baseball Team as they walk proudly down Cherokee's Main Street.
