On Saturday March 5, the Chronicle Times put on the 2011 Home Show at Cherokee's Western Iowa Tech Conference Center. The event ran from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. and featured many area businesses.
Chronicle Times Home Show -
The 17th Annual Cherokee Chronicle Times Home Show was held on Saturday March 5th at Western Iowa Tech Community College. The event was well attended by folks coming out to see what is new in home improvements ideas and what area business have to offer.
Going to the show in style -
Pictured is Wayne Woolridge, who was escorting young Kadence Langschwager around the Chronicle Times Home Show on Saturday March 5. Kadence made quick work of seeing all the booths at the Home Show by using her pony bike.
Rodeo Royalty -
Some of the many representatives of the Cherokee Chamber PRCA Rodeo who were greeting the public at the Chronicle Times Home Show on March 5 were Miss Rodeo Cherokee 2010 Tally Roepke and Trey Bush. This year's Cherokee Chamber PRCA Rodeo will be held June 2, 3 and 4 at the Cherokee Fairgrounds.
On display -
Officer Joe Daum of the Cherokee Police Department, left, and Dana Evans, Director of the Cherokee County Veterans Affairs, are displaying a WWI helmet that is new to the collection at the Cherokee County Veterans Affairs office. Both Daum and Evans manned booths at the Chronicle Times Home Show.
Finding 'IT' at the Home Show -
Cherokee Chamber of Commerce Director Julie Hering Kent was one the Home Show vendors who was promoting the Chamber's Find IT campaign. Whatever you need you can probably find "IT" right here in Cherokee. The Chamber connects Cherokee businesses with customers.
Marcus Lumber -
Clay Leavitt of Marcus Lumber is pictured giving some advice on what is new in home improvement technology to one of the many people who attended this year's Chronicle Times Home Show. Marcus Lumber was also one of the program presenters.
Great turn-out -
There was a great turn-out of people who attended the many programs held at the Chronicle Times Home Show on March 5. Pictured was the program presented by Rhoadside Blooming House called "Perennial Gardening: Tried, True, and a Look at What's New." All programs were held at the Western Iowa Tech Community College's Auditorium.
Many vendors -
Sandy Siegel of Gustafson Realty is pictured helping out a Home Show attendees at the Chronicle Times Home Show on Saturday. Gustafson Realty was one of the 30-plus Home Show vendors at this year's Home Show.

The Cherokee Chronicle Times Home Show drew big numbers as many area residents came to the Western Iowa Tech Community College's Conference Center to take a look at the 30 - plus vendors who were on hand to show what is new in the world of Home Improvement.
