'Tastes and Sounds' in Cherokee

The Cherokee Middle and High School Music Departments performed at the annual 'Tastes and Sounds' event at Cherokee's Western Iowa Tech convention center on Wednesday April 6. Several Cherokee businesses provided samples of food and beverages for the packed house while they listened to some great musical performances.
Bass Clef Trio -
The Washington High Bass Clef Trio of Manny Bustos, Tyler McLaughlin, and Eric Boisen entertained the crowd at last week's Tastes & Sounds at WITCC in Cherokee.
Brass Choir -
Cherokee Washington High Band Director Paul McEntaffer conducts the WHS Brass Choir at last week's Tastes & Sounds at the Western Iowa Tech Community College Conference Center.
CMS Chorus -
The Cherokee Middle School grades 7-8 Chorus, accompanied by WHS Vocal Director Amy Sarchet at piano, sang a melodious selection at last week's Tastes & Sounds at WITCC.
CMS Jazz Band -
Under the direction of Casey Kingdon, the Cherokee Middle School Jazz Band opened the show for Tastes & Sounds last week at the packed Western Iowa Tech Community College Conference Center.
WHS Jazz Band -
Bound for State competition in Des Moines next week, the well-decorated Cherokee Washington High Jazz Band, under the direction of Paul McEntaffer, closed the show before a dwindling crowd at last week's Tastes & Sounds at WITCC.
Woodwind Trio -
The Cherokee WHS Woodwind Trio of Rachel Corken, Mariah Clyde, and Abby Hayes entertained the crowd at last week's Tastes & Sounds program at WITCC.
