Tuesday, March 18, 2008 CeCe Warren from Texas Email: casadecec@hotmail.com I have been trying to verify the birth of my grandfather, Fredrick William Larabee B. 3-19-1889 in Cherokee. The vital records department in Des Moines has been unable to help me. I sent the request to them as he was supposedly adopted by Ruben Gregg. Maybe the adoption was not legal (?). I am hoping to be able to verify this with someone without having to travel to Cherokee. Hopefully this will reach someone with an interest in genealogy in that area. Thanks.
