Riley is new teacher at CMC (09/08/06)
Sara Riley is a May 2006 graduate of Buena Vista University who was hired at the Cherokee Middle School this fall. Riley is teaching 5th and 6th grade Title I reading students, as well as 7th grade language and arts and reading. She reports that she "just loves" her job and students. Riley is originally from Cresco, Iowa, and her family still resides in that area. She is married to Brad Riley, who is the manager of the Tire Service Center at 1500 South Second Street in Cherokee...

Journalists getting killed in Iraq often elicit an unsympathetic reaction from the public. People ask what the journalists were doing in a war zone in the first place. The same question is not asked about soldiers. No matter how a person feels about the war, soldiers are respected for the courage required to do a dangerous job, unlike journalists, who, according to some people, choose to throw away their lives to perform trivial tasks...
