Bulldogs come back for 28-21 win (09/11/06)
ELK HORN - The Aurelia Bulldogs had to come from behind to win their second game of the season here Friday night in non-district action. The 'Dogs were down 6-0 after one quarter, and 13-6 at half-time against the host Danes. An eight-yard touchdown jaunt by Mike White and two-point conversion on a pass from Jared to Jacob Bruce put the 'Dogs in the lead for the first time, 14-13, with 1:16 left in the third quarter...
Shaky Braves fall to Storm Lake (09/11/06)
With a potent passing offense out of synch much of the night, the Cherokee Braves battled tough but could not overcome an opportunistic Storm Lake club and lost 28-16 in non-district football action here Friday night. Lightning in the southern sky forced the players off the field with a 20-minute delay with 5:53 left in the first half, but a "lightning strike" by the Tornadoes' Tyson Brandt with 6:30 left in the first quarter went a long way in determining the outcome of this game...
