Darrel W. Sturgeon, 79, of Pharr, Texas, and formerly of Aurelia and Cherokee, died on Sept. 10, 2006, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen. His body was cremated at Val Verde Crematory in Donna, Texas. Interment will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery in Cherokee at a later date.
