DES MOINES, Iowa -- The Vision Iowa Board approved $552,765 in grants to projects located in Bellevue, Aurelia and North Liberty, plus Adams and Madison Counties at Thursday's board meeting in Johnston. The grant for the Aurelia project is for $225,000, and will enable the city to complete the project as planned, when these funds are added to the amounts from the city, Aurelia Municipal Utilities, and the many individuals and businesses who have given to the project...
Braves Ege, Ruehle earn IBCA honors (08/16/07)
Cherokee senior Cory Ege, one of the most decorated baseball players in Cherokee Braves history, received another high honor last week when he was named to the Iowa Baseball Coaches Assocation All-State Super Team. The team features 16 Iowa players the IBCA has identified as the best in the state, regardless of class (1A, 2A, 3A, 4A).
