MMC board mulls budget, OKs ISP levy (03/19/08)
MARCUS - The Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn School Board held a special hearing to get their evening started. No one showed to question the need for the Instructional Support Levy. The board unanimously approved the levy. The board listened to former board members Al Hoefling and Nancy Hohbach express their opinions about the need to make some cuts and stick with their decisions. MARCUS - The Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn girls basketball squad was honored recently at the 2007-2008 post-season Awards Banquet. Eight Eagles received varsity letters for the season, including seniors Samantha Taylor, Kaylee Dreckman, and Jessica Zubrod. Taylor and Dreckman earned their fourth varsity letters, playing extensively on varsity throughout their prep careers, while Zubrod earned her third letter...

Sonja Anderson, 46, of Cherokee, died peacefully at her home Monday March 17, 2008, with her husband Todd and her parents at her side, after a courageous 5 year battle with cancer.
