Cherokee girls complete softball season (07/16/08)
The Washington High School softball team played two games in Regional Tournament recently. Playing Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn in Hartley on July 3rd, the Cherokee girls trailed 6-0 going into the third inning, but outscored the Hawks 9-1 the rest of the way to take home a 9-7 win. Katie Sambrano got the first varsity win of her career, pitching well despite a couple of defensive misplays.
