The Paullina Golf Club is a nine-hole, par three course that is open seven days a week. Located on the east side of Paullina on Highway 10, the course challenges golfers who have to criss-cross over Mill Creek several times during a round. Denny and Nelda Werkmeister of Paullina have plans to expand their business, which began back in 2002. Paullina is Denny's hometown, which is what got them back to town after living 13 years in the Twin Cities. He wanted to get back to his roots. Benefit fund established for Driggs (08/25/08)
A special benefit fund has been set up at Central Bank in Cherokee for David Driggs of Cherokee - to help with medical expenses not covered by insurance. due to complications from an emergency appendectomy in June. Driggs had emergency appendectomy surgery in June and again in July in Sioux City . He was hospitalized afterwards and is still unable to return to work.
