We applaud the hard-working, dedicated Cherokee Athletic Booster Club in its on-going efforts to further enhance the Cherokee Washington High baseball and softball fields at the Sam Doupe Athletic Complex on East Indian Street. Plans include installation of new stadium seating, construction of new scorers/press box facilities as the existing ones have become dilapidated and hazardous, protective netting, and major dirtwork, including landscaping in the vicinity of the graveled parking lot west of the softball field.. ...
