'Young Artists' selected for Symphony (03/05/09)
The Cherokee Symphony held auditions on February 28th at the Community Center to select the soloists who will play with the Symphony at its April 19th "Young Artists Concert." Judges for the auditions were Cherokee Symphony conductor Lee Thorson and Dr. Ed Lanning, both of Storm Lake. Symphony Board members Roxy Fudge, Doug Pierson, Charis Peterson, and Donna Hicks organized and offered support to ensure a successful event, and refreshments were served to an appreciative audience...
