Sanford Museum Director Linda Burkhart, right, is pictured with third-grade students from Battle Creek-Ida Grove recently. Burkhart is teaching the young students all about how a person's genes make them who they are. From the shape of a person's hairline to the shape of a person's thumbs, genes make everyone unique. Salad Luncheon held (05/15/09)
The annual Wa-Tan-Ye Salad Luncheon was held on Wednesday at the Memorial Presbyterian Church in Cherokee. Each year, the Wa-Tan-Ye Club holds a luncheon to raise funds which are distributed back into the community for many different social projects. Supervisors get update on Martin Access (05/15/09)
Ginger Walker, Cherokee County Conservation Director, gave a project update to the Cherokee County Board of Supervisors on three stick-built cabins that are currently being constructed at Martin Access.
