'Knights' wrap up successful Calendar sales (05/21/09)
The Cherokee Knights of Columbus Calendar Sales for 2009 have come to an end. Following another successful year, the money received from the sale of the calendars has been distributed as follows: $750 to Bright Beginnings Day Care Center; $750 to the Center Against Abuse and Sexual Assault (CAASA); five $200 scholarships to area high school seniors; six $50 winners in weekly drawings; and two $500 winners in the final drawing (Drawing winners were announced in the Chronicle Times at the time of the drawings).. ...
Cherokee Board approves salary packages (05/21/09)

Area students graduate from Morningside (05/21/09)
Several area students were among the 255 students who received Bachelor's degrees from Morningside College during the college's 111th spring commencement exercises, held on Saturday May 9, 2009. The area students were: Autumn Bartel, daughter of Dale and Linda Bartel of Cherokee, who graduated summa Cum Laude (with highest honor), for achieving a cumulative grade point average of 3.81 or higher. ...
