Drawn to the Fair (06/29/09)
Featured once again at the Cherokee County Fair this year will be caricature artist Kira Layli Scott, who calls her drqwings 'Kiracatures.' Scott will again be bringing a fun and wholesome family activity to the fair. Scott is a talented artist who graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Studio Arts, and has worked for the Virtual Reality Applications Center on the Iowa State campus...
Sanford Museum all about Astronomy (06/29/09)
The Sanford Museum is looking forward to a busy couple of months, with five different activities coming up that deal with outer space. The Museum has been asked to host a traveling exhibit next month. Entitled "Outreach to Space," the exhibit features several learning stations for kids, with the topics being the planets, gravity, the sun, and distances in outer space...

The Cherokee County Fair will include the Bill Riley Talent Show again this year, with a few changes from past years, to correspond with changes made at the State Fair contest.
