Marcus Council looks at hotel/motel tax (08/13/09)
MARCUS - At the Marcus Council regular monthly meeting Monday evening, the Council discussed the feasibility of what a hotel/motel tax could do to bring revenue into the City's budget. A concensus at the meeting was that most towns do have such a tax where primarily visitors to the town will be paying the tax. Viola Bornholtz, 95, of Sioux City, died Saturday, Aug. 8, 2009 at Westwood Care Center. Services were held at Wesley United Methodist Church in Sioux City on Aug. 11, 2009.
