Voters pass Aurelia and MMC PPEL (09/10/09)
Voters passed the PPEL (Physical Plant & Equipment Levy) for 10-year periods for both the Aurelia and Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn school districts at Tuesday's sparsely attended Cherokee County School Elections. With all incumbents and newcomers running unopposed in the Cherokee, MMC, Aurelia, and River Valley districts, just 409 cards were cast of the 8,017 eligible county voters for a scant 5.1-percent turnout...
