'Young Artists' selected for Cherokee Symphony concert (02/25/10)
The Cherokee Symphony held auditions at the Community Center Saturday afternoon to select four solosts who will play with the Symphony at their annual "Young Artists' Concert" on Sunday, April 18. Maestro Lee Thorson and Dr. Ed Lanning, both of Storm Lake, acted as judges at the auditions, and symphony Board members Roxy Fudge, Doug Pierson, Charis Peterson, Jim Mohn, Carol Leidahl and Donna Hicks organized the event and provided support to ensure a successful day. ...
