School Board approves calendar, accepts resignations (03/26/10)
The Cherokee School District Board of Education Monday night approved as proposed the 2010-2011 school calendar, containing 87 days in the first semester, and 93 in the second semester. Easter Egg Hunt Saturday, April 3 (03/26/10)

Supervisors hit snag in leasing county property (03/26/10)
The Cherokee County Board of Supervisors held a public hearing Tuesday and opened bids for lease on 36.41 acres of County owned property in Spring Township Section 20. Doug Stowater, Ray Mullins, and Bar-D-Bar Farms all submitted bids. The highest bid for leasing the property was from Bar-D-Bar Farms at $151.50 per acre.
