Cherokee Poppy Days (05/13/10)
Cherokee Treptow Unit and Post 230 American Legion and Auxiliary Volunteers will be distributing the familiar red, handcrafted poppies honoring America's war dead on Saturday, May 15 and will be standing in front of businesses in Cherokee. Bacon Aquatic Center seeks pool passes for those in need (05/13/10)
The Cherokee Parks and Recreation Department is requesting donations from citizens, businesses and organizations to help children enjoy this summer at the Bacon Aquatic Center. GLENCOE, Minn.- The M.A.G.A. Individual Gymnastics Championships were held here on Sat. March 27, 2010. Nine gymnasts from the Springers Gymnastics program in Storm Lake competed at the meet, and six of them were from Cherokee and Aurelia. Twenty-four girls competed in each event in each age group, and the top 12 were eligible for All-Around scoring.
