Cherokee native uses training to save lives (09/01/10)
Cherokee native and Army Reserve Staff Sgt. Michael Riordan, a truck driver and mechanic with the 445th Transportation Company out of Waterloo, acted as a first responder when he witnessed a motorcycle accident Aug. 27 in Denver, Colorado. Riordan was standing on a corner waiting to cross the street with his wife Sonya Riordan when the driver of the motorcycle hit a curb while turning.
