School Board hears goals (10/08/10)
The Cherokee Community School District Board of Education held a Management Team meeting on Monday and an overview of building goals and faculty action plans for the current school year were the featured topics. The 3rd and 4th grade Cherokee Youth Football League Team #2 won its division on Saturday. They played Newell-Fonda in Newell and won 14-8 in overtime. H. Evelyn Johnson, 96, passed away on Sept. 9, 2010. Services were held today at 10:30 a.m. the Meriden Evangelical Free Church with inurnment at the Memory Garden Cemetery in Cherokee.
