CCT to present 'Christmas Belles' (11/10/10)

AURELIA - The Aurelia High School Drama Department will present its 2010 fall play, "The Ransom of Miss Elverna Dower," this weekend. If somebody kidnapped your least favorite teacher, would you want her back? In an award-winning comedic tale, Casey and Tim nab their demanding English teacher to avoid having to take a test, but they find that no one wants her back! It's bad enough that she corrects the grammar in their ransom note and makes them rewrite it, but when the captive teacher assigns them a research paper on famous kidnappings in history, the young kidnappers find themselves doing more school work than ever!. ...

The Cherokee County 4H Awards Banquet potluck which was scheduled for November 14, 2010 at the Marcus Community Center has been postponed. A staff member has had a family health emergency which has lingered over the past few weeks, and we have decided to postpone this event in order to get better prepared. The Banquet will be re-scheduled to a later date yet to be determined. Organizers will make another announcement when that date is finalized...
