Mediacom Cable TV outage... again (12/22/10)
A Mediacom power outage in the Sioux Rapids area caused equipment failure in the Storm Lake and Cherokee markets Monday night that shut down cable television reception for thousands of angry Mediacom Cable TV customers. According to Medicom recordings, most customers were unable to access any Mediacom services by telephone to register their complaints due to the admitted deluge of calls seeking customer service. ...

Average value of Iowa farmland reaches $5,064 per acre (12/22/10)
The average value of an acre of farmland in Iowa increased 15.9 percent in 2010, according to an annual survey conducted by Iowa State University Extension.
