Farm tractor rollovers a deadly problem

Tractor rollovers are the single deadliest type of injury incident on farms and it is reported that of the 4.7 million tractors in the U.S. today alone, one-half of them are without rollover protection for the operator. Motorists injured in Highway 3 accident

At 6:13 a.m. on Wednesday, the Cherokee County Sheriff's Department investigated a two-vehicle accident on Highway 3 that injured both drivers. Authorities reported that Theresa D. Schneider 39, Marcus, was westbound on Highway 3 and tried to avoid a snow drift by going into the eastbound lane. Her vehicle started sliding due to the ice- and snow- covered road. Cherokee County Pheasants Forever and the Iowa Department of Natural Resources have teamed together to provide outdoor skill training workshops for the youth of Cherokee County and the state.
