When Aurelia had a movie theater (03/04/11)
An appearance by a former Aurelian on the Feb. 14, 2011 edition of Public Television's "Antiques Roadshow" caught my attention. I don't normally watch the show, but my old friend Gary Anderson tipped me off about the Feb. 14th show, and I tuned in for a couple of reasons - #1, it's always neat to see someone you know on the tube, and #2 - the item this person was having appraised was movie-related, and I have been a big movie buff for most of my life...

Area residents are reminded that the Chronicle Times discontinued its Post Office Box service more than one year ago and all mail should now be sent to the Chronicle Times at 111 S. 'Sermons a la Carte' begins on March 9 (03/04/11)
The 26th annual Sermons a la Carte program begins next Wednesday, March 9 (Ash Wednesday). This is a program offered by the Cherokee churches every Lenten season. Ministers from the different area congregations take turns delivering a message each Wednesday from 12:05 p.m. - 12:30 p.m. at Memorial Presbyterian Church, 127 E.
