National Day of Prayer (05/11/11)
A few folks gathered under the flag at the Cherokee County Courthouse on May 5 to honor the National Day of Prayer. Gay Lynn Strub led in singing "A Mighty Fortress is Our God," this year's theme. Shofars were blown by Pastor Pinky Person, Mike Hanson and Dan Kline to declare a Holy Convocation unto the Lord, followed by prayers for God to be God for our country, our troops and the world. Cherokee City-wide Clean Up Day (05/11/11)
The City of Cherokee is sponsoring a city-wide appliance and tire pickup and will pick these up on Wednesday, May 18, provided arrangements are made in advance at City Hall. The City Council encourages residents to take advantage of this to help you clean up your property.
