Cleghorn Community Center receives donation (05/18/11)
Kristi Ames, left, and Laura Prescott, center, presented a check for $500 to Greta Petersen, who is representing the Cleghorn Community Center recently. Ames and Prescott are members of the Marcettes, a Marcus organization of young women who through various fundraisings, give to area organizations in the Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn School District to show their support and appreciation. Knights complete Calendar Sales (05/18/11)
The Cherokee Knights of Columbus recently completed their 19th year of a successful calendar money-raising project. Once again, sixty $50 winners were drawn as well as two $500 winners. Proceeds from calendar sales also go towards college scholarships for area high school seniors, and each year two worthy causes are given $750 each. ...
