Directory completed at Cedar Cemetery (06/13/11)
The Pilot Rock Daughters of the American Revolution contacted the trustees of the Cedar township cemetery, near Larrabee,in 2008, offering to donate $500 toward a Cemetery Directory. At the same time, the Stanford Post #670 of the Larrabee American Legion was disbanding and they wanted to be a part of this worthwhile project...

Braves split Lakes baseball games (06/13/11)
The Cherokee Braves split two Lakes Conference games last week, defeating Hull Western Christian 4-0 behind a masterful pitching performance by Curtis Ege, and falling 11-1 in five innings to a veteran, ranked Storm Lake team in Storm Lake. In the impressive win over HWC, last year's defending Lakes Conference champions, the Braves rode the arm of Curtis Ege, who fired a six-hit shutout and struck out 13 in seven innings of work.
