3XWrestling comes to Cherokee County Fair (06/24/11)
One of the special events at the Cherokee County Fair scheduled for July 7-10 this year is the 3XWrestling entertainment. The show will begin at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 8, at the south end of the fairgrounds. 3XWrestling was founded in 2005 and since then has become one of the top wrestling promotions in the Midwest. The company is based in Des Moines, where they perform several of their shows, but also travels all around Iowa to entertain a vast amount of people...
City officials grill out (06/24/11)
On Friday, the City of Cherokee employees held a family cookout under the pavilion in Gillette Park, where members of the community mingled with City officials. The cookout was part of the City's effort to get members of the community involved with the planning process to create a new Comprehensive Plan to guide the future improvements for the community.
