Area schools start this week (08/15/11)
The 2011-2012 school year gets under way at many area schools this week. In Cherokee, students at Washington High School have orientation tonight from 7 - 8:30 p.m., Roosevelt Elementary will have their "Meet the Teacher Night" on Tuesday from 5:30 - 7 p.m, with the Cherokee Cattleman's Association grilling hamburgers and hot dogs for the occasion., and Cherokee Middle School will also have a "Meet the Teacher" night from 7 p.m.- 8:30 p.m. ...
