High winds fan fires across Northwest Iowa (10/03/11)
There were numerous field fires that occured in Northwest Iowa on Thursday, including several in Cherokee County. Cherokee Ridgerunner's Fall Rendezvous nears (10/03/11)
The Cherokee Ridge Runner's Fall Rendezvous will be held on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 7 and Oct. 8 at the Little Sioux Wildlife Area southwest of Cherokee and the public is welcome during daylight hours. Camping fees are $15 for primitive, $20 for modern, and range fee is $10. There will be no meal served during the Rendezvous, however there will be a potluck dinner on Saturday at 6 p.m. and campers are encouraged to bring their own items.
