Donation received (10/07/11)
Cherokee Police Chief Steve Schuck (left) and Officer Adam Roberts receive a $500 donation to the CPD from Hy-Vee Store Director Tim Haupert and Hy-Vee Drug Store Manager Gary McCormick (far right). The money will be used towards the purchase of a new Police Dog for the CPD, which Schuck said is "already on order," and should arrive at the Cherokee station in the near future. 'Phoenix' to reunite again for benefit concert in Cherokee (10/07/11)

On Tuesday the Cherokee County Board of Supervisors received approval by the Iowa Secretary of State's Office for the Cherokee County redistricting plan .
