Leissler's 'Over The Dam' CD an introspective musical treat (11/23/11)
Cherokee's beloved troubadour, born with an uncanny ability to make magical music with his fingers and vocal chords, has one fine Christmas stocking stuffer available for his many area fans. That personable troubadour, Charlie Leissler, cut his own CD this past spring containing 13 of his original songs, and all who have purchased or listened to Leissler's first and only CD release "Over The Dam" can't help but rave about the style and quality Charlie has instilled in the effort...
City Hall, Courthouse closed for Thanksgiving (11/23/11)
Cherokee City Hall and the Cherokee County Courthouse will be closed Thursday and Friday for the observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. They will reopen on Monday.

Quimby 125 Store holiday hours (11/23/11)
The Quimby 125 Store, located in the former Simonsen Quonset building in Quimby, will be open from 10 a.m. until noon on Nov. 26, Dec. 10 and Dec. 17 and there will be special items available for the holidays.
