State OKs Meriden wastewater loan (11/28/11)
DES MOINES - The Iowa Finance Authority recently approved a combined total of $788,000 in water quality loans to assist the communities of Meriden and Saint Ansgar with water infrastructure projects. The funding is made available through State Revolving Fund Construction Loans, which offers three percent interest rates. Mercedee Sapp, age 76 of Cherokee, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2011 at the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake. Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 27 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cherokee. Father Jeremy Wind officiated. Gene Hagan, age 82 of Cherokee, passed away Monday, Nov. 21, 2011, at the Cherokee Regional Medical Center in Cherokee. What a great crowd we had for Rick Eugene, the balloon/magician man! There were forty-five children and parents who were amazed at the tricks, illusions, and balloon animals made by Rick.
