Food for the Needy from WITCC (12/19/11)
Each Christmas season, the faculty, staff, and students at Cherokee's Western Iowa Tech Comunity College donate food items for selected needy families. Bolin to play at Cherokee Jazz and Blues Festival (12/19/11)

Voting technology demonstration held (12/19/11)
For the past two years, Cherokee County has been using voting software that was developed by Cerro Gordo County. Marcus City Council hears about GSI mapping services (12/19/11)
Lindsay Bressler, who is employed by Cherokee County, addressed the Marcus City Council at their recent monthly meeting, and provided information about GSI mapping, and how it would affect the Council's ability to provide services. Bressler told the council that the mapping would be able to provide a complete mapping of all of the city's utilities as well as the history of those utilities, including information on the size and age of the utilities...

LAWTON - Ridge View went 2-1 in Western Valley Conference wrestling action here on Thursday. Ridge View defeated Lawton-Bronson, 57-24, and West Monona, 63-12, and was defeated by Logan-Magnolia, 45-33. Ridge View is now 4-1 in the conference and 7-3 overall.
