School Board approves revised Codes of Conduct (02/24/12)
At its regular monthly meeting Monday night, the Cherokee School District Board of Education approved the updated Washington High School and Cherokee Middle School Codes of Conduct for Extracurricular Activities, both to be implemented May 1, 2012. Basically, a special committee comprised of administrators, faculty, and students, reviewed the existing Codes of Conduct and made changes where specified and tweaked some language within to better adapt it to today's standards...

No. 51, Illinois Central Sioux City night freight is badly wrecked at Remsen, the result of a collision with an extra which had not wholly cleared the track. Engineer Warner and Fireman Nash of 51 saw that a collision was inevitable and jumped off. Both are reported hurt but there are different versions as to the extent of the injuries.
