ISU Extension and Outreach announces New Regional Director (03/08/12)
Terry Janssen has been named a Regional Extension Education Director for Iowa State University Extension and Outreach, according to Sherry Glenn, Extension Director of Field Operations. CMS students learn about 'Fuel Up to Play 60' program (03/08/12)
Last week, Cherokee resident- and former National Football League Pro Bowler- Adam Timmerman spoke at Cherokee Middle School to help kick off the 'Fuel Up to Play 60' program. I think I am a senior citizen. Maybe not officially since I'm not collecting anything, but it sure is nice to have a movie discount and a break at McDonald's. I wasn't aware of the latter until a young man who has long used the library asked very gently "I don't want to hurt your feelings but aren't you over 55?" Answering yes got me a coke at less than half. So now I claim senior citizenship whenever possible...
