Pearson earns Master rank (04/18/12)
Rita Pearson of Aurelia and owner of Jung's Tae Kwon Do Academy of Cherokee can now be referred to as Master Pearson. Grand Master Woo Jin Jung, founder of the academy, awarded her the rank this past winter at Jung's Tae Kwon Do Academy headquarters in Cedar Rapids. RAGBRAI community meeting (04/18/12)
On Monday a community meeting was held at the Western Iowa Tech Community College Auditorium by the Cherokee RAGBRAI Committee. The Committee announced the town's theme and logo, shared plans for the event, talked about volunteer opportunities, and answered questions from community members.
