Businesses encouraged to get their grill ready (04/25/12)
It's that time of year again and Cherokee Chamber of Commerce's Hot Dog Day is coming. Hot Dog Day will be held on May 10 at 5 p.m. with the CYSBA kids and coaches scheduled to parade down Main Street at 5:30 p.m. They will leave the parking lot at Fifth Street and Main and parade down Main Street to Hy-Vee Drugstore...

Cherokee Jam Session to benefit LLS (04/25/12)
A Jam Session fund-raiser benefiting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is scheduled for the Gathering Place in Cherokee, Thursday, hosted by Cherokee native Jackie Schmillen, who is seeking LLS "Celebrity of the Year" honors.
