'God's Giggle Gang' coming to Cherokee (05/24/12)
On Sunday, June 3, the Cherokee Memorial Presbyterian Church will welcome the God's Giggle Gang at 2 p.m. as part of the Church's Guest Day. God's Giggle Gang is comprised of Christians from a variety of denominations. The purpose of God's Giggle Gang is to spread the word of God in a little different method as well as spreading joy in the world. In other words, this group of individuals have been trained to be 'FOOLS' ... FOOLS for CHRIST!...
Holstein & Galva-Holstein All-School Reunion June 16 (05/24/12)
HOLSTEIN - The Holstein and Galva-Holstein All-School Reunion is scheduled to be Saturday, June 16 and will take place at the Ridge View High School in Holstein. School Board OKs 3.5-percent pay hike for support staff (05/24/12)
The Cherokee School District Board of Education Monday night approved several staff resignations and contracts before entering into closed session for the purpose of discussing collective bargaining strategies and issues. Among the resignations accepted by the Board were Amy Douglas as Special Education Associate at Washington High School; Sarah Nolder as Special Education Associate at Roosevelt Elementary; Jessica Knipple as Special Education Associate, 7th grade girls and boys basketball coach at Cherokee Middle School, and as the WHS head softball coach following the 2012 season; and Beth Ebert as WHS Student Council Advisor pending finding a suitable replacement.. ...
