Iowa River Tours an adventure for all (06/25/12)
One of the most enjoyable experiences that anyone can have here in Northwest Iowa is to spend a day floating down the Little Sioux River. For those who don't have their own river equipment, Iowa River Tours in Cherokee is the place to go. Supervisors authorize wages for several County employees (06/25/12)
Approving wage authorizations was the chief topic of business at Tuesday's weekly meeting of the Cherokee County Board of Supervisors. County Engineer Dave Shanahan presented wage authorizations for Secondary Roads receptionist Paula Ellis, Project Manager Brandon Billings and Engineer Aide Joel Anderson, and the Board approved a $1.50/hour raise for Ellis, effectively immediately. ...

ALTA - A basketball camp for boys in 3rd - 8th grade was held here from June 11-15, under the direction of Randy Bissen, the new varsity boys basketball head coach at Alta-Aurelia High School. Fundraiser Golf Tourney in Marcus (06/25/12)
MARCUS - The Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn High School football team will be sponsoring a 4-person golf outing for people high school age and above on Saturday July 28th at the Marcus Golf Course.
