RAGBRAI has come and gone. It is amazing how fast the riders flood in and how fast they pack up and go. We had a good experience on Sunday with nice people who were grateful for an air conditioned place to hang out. When I came in the door a guy was lying in the exterior lobby reading our Sunday newspapers and before long every chair in the place was occupied. Several people resorted to sleeping on the floor before the day was over...

The not-so-pretty underbelly of the beautiful human creature called RAGBRAI that rolled through Cherokee Sunday more than 30,000 strong was revealed and troublesome for more than 18 hours straight at the Cherokee Regional Medical Center.
